How To Safely Install Your Software
You just bought or downloaded new software and you want to install it. Installing it starts with scanning the drive or file for viruses. Scanning the file or CD/DVD drive for viruses ensures that no viruses or malicious software of any kind enters your computer. Use your anti-virus software or online services for scanning.
Before installing, make time to back up your computer. That means placing your important files in a storage media like a flash drive or portable hard drive. If you don-t have a backup copy of your computer when you bought it in a CD, DVD, or flash drive, be sure to back up your computer as well. Otherwise, if the software happens to mess your computer up, you will have to do a system restore or have a professional fix it for you.
After all the precautions have been taken care of, finally run the software. Accept the agreement and press next for the next prompt. Accept what you will (install the software) and won-t do (special offers, toolbars, and browsers). Finally after everything is installed you may have to restart the computer. After that (or if that is not an option) test out the software.
